Mark Anthony Myrie aka Bju Banton
Singer: Buju Banton
Upcoming Album: Before The Dawn
Current Album: Rasta Got Soul
In the News: Jurors in Buju trial will continue deliberation Monday

After 2 days of deliberation the 12-person jury has not decided on a verdict. This may indicate that the case against Buju Banton is not as easy as the prosecution would like us to believe.

Buju Banton, born Mark Anthony Myrie, was arrested in December 2009 in his Tamarac home on charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 5 kilos or more of cocaine. His co-defendants Ian Thomas and James Mack were held during a drug bust at a police controlled warehouse in Saratoga, Tampa, Florida.

The prosecution's arguements center around audio and video tapes of Buju discussing and arranging drug purchases. He was never caught buying or selling and drugs and when undercover officers came to the warehouse to buy the drugs only co-defendants Ian Thomas and James Mack were there.

Deliberation will continue on Monday
